Real clerical outsourcing firms (like the ones listed with SOHOjobs) do not charge “application fees.” According to our research, the major firms that we deal with provide software free of charge or allow you to use programs that you have on hand, such as MS Word or WordPerfect. If you are told that a processing fee or any other fee is required before you may start working, simply ask that any "fees" be subtracted from the amount you have coming. If a fee is required for legitimate purposes, a “real” company will accept credit cards. If they ask you to send cash or money orders, run Forest run.
