Why didn't I get a Welcome email?
You should receive an automatic order confirmation within 48 hours of placing your order. We are not responsible for incorrect information that has been supplied by the customer so please be sure that the email address you provided to us is correct. If you DO NOT receive an order confirmation, you may have entered an incorrect email address or your mailbox may have spam blockers or other settings that block mail.
Many e-mail service providers have created spam filters to prevent unwanted messages from reaching your inbox. Unfortunately, these filters can also block e-mail messages you actually want to receive. To ensure continued receipt of our e-mails, you may want to add our e-mail address (info@sohojobs.org) to your address book and reconfigure your spam filter, if you use one.
Just because you can receive email from others DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL RECEIVE EMAIL FROM SOHOJOBS!!
Why? Because your email provider does not block your personal mail. Instead they attempt to block spam by filtering out ecommerce messages (email of a commercial nature). They look for certain "red flags" such as email messages that contain (1) hyperlinks, (2) email links, (3) certain keywords such as "work from home", (4) large email files, and (5) emails pertaining to an online transaction. Our WELCOME message to you contains ALL of these items! Therefore, if you have not received a message from SOHOjobs with "WELCOME" in the subject line then it is safe to assume that your email provider has blocked or filtered this message.
AOL, Netzero, Earthlink, MSN and Hotmail will almost always block our email
AOL, Netzero and Hotmail/MSN are not reliable email providers since they often filter out legit email as spam. If you are an AOL, Netzero or Hotmail user and did not get a WELCOME message from SOHOjobs then our message to you was BLOCKED. Please contact your email provider, add sohojobs.org to your address book/safe list (or specify in your account that you want to accept email from SOHOjobs.org), or provide us with an alternative (more reliable) email address. Gmail provides an excellent alternative and almost always filters email correctly.
What to do?
It is YOUR responsibility to make sure that you can receive email, not only from SOHOjobs but also from hiring employers. One of the biggest complaints we get from hiring managers is that a job candidate "never replies" to the request for an interview. Do not let this happen to you! Do not miss out on your chance to land a work at home job because your email provider has blocked the message! Take action now and prepare your account! Or, you may simply need to check your Junk, Trash, Spam or Blocked email folders. Click Here for specific recommendations based on which e-mail provider you use.
If you continue to have problems with your email we suggest that you contact your provider to let them know that you are not receiving email that you have requested and you would like for them to correct the problem. (This is called a "false positive" and is a common problem with spam filters). It is very important that you WHITELIST your SOHOjobs email address. Most ISPs and SPAM filters provide a way for you to "whitelist" email coming from specific addresses that you can specify. This tells the SPAM filter to never block email coming from that addresses. CHeck with your account settings NOW before you miss your SOHOjobs Welcome message containing your password and username.
You may also need to supply SOHOjobs (and our hiring employers) with an alternative email address that will not block messages. To change your address with SOHOjobs, please send your OLD and NEW email address to info@sohojobs.org with CHANGE EMAIL in the subject line.
